Through GISHRU, we envision the rising generation in the Diaspora to not only be tangibly connected with the Assyrian ancestral homeland and become effective advocates of the Assyrian cause, but also one day reside there.

Joseph V Danavi
Joe is a cardiology fellow in training, who balances his doctor duties with his many Assyrian activist efforts. He is our internal affairs director.
Suzan Younan
Suzan is one of the original co-founders of GISHRU. She has been an Assyrian activist all her life and has made the big move and is currently living in the Homeland!

Established in 1991, the Assyrian Aid Society of Iraq is one of the first humanitarian organizations working with the UN in the region.
Khoyada
Also known as "Khoyada", the ChaldoAssyrian Student & Youth Union is the largest organization of Assyrian youth and young professionals in Iraq.
Assyrian Democratic Movement
Established in 1979, the Assyrian Democratic Movement, also known as Zowaa is one of the only independent Assyrian political parties in Iraq within the parliament.
GISHRU is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that organizes and conducts humanitarian and educational trips for Assyrians born in the Diaspora to the ancestral Assyrian homeland
